Liver damage (leading to liver cancer) is the fifth most common cancer in the world and the majority of patients with liver cancer will die within one year as a result of the cancer
Having cancer can change your life and the lives of your family members in many ways. Patients and their families often may feel shock, anger, sadness, fear, frustration, and confusion when faced with a diagnosis of cancer. These feelings often come and go, and the experience is sometimes compared to an emotional roller coaster. Living with any serious disease can be difficult/ challenging. Many patients find it helpful to share their thoughts and feelings with a professional counselor or with other patients who are going through a similar experience.
It is important that you provide support and help to your loved one/ friend when that person is diagnosed of any major disease, such as liver damage.
